I am interested in supporting individuals in a dynamic and down to earth manner. Essentially, my aim is to guide individuals to thrive both internally and outwardly rather than just survive!

I hope to empower clients to make significant decisions, deal with problems as well achieve their ambitions and goals. I work with a variety of people from all different walks of life who commit to creating positive change in crucial areas of their lives.

The following are examples of areas individuals seek support for:
  • Resolving career-related issues, helping you deal with challenges at work and feel less stressed, more fulfilled and valued in the workplace;
  • Dealing with the practical challenges of juggling work and home-life;
  • Dealing more effectively with personal issues (such as relationship or family situations) helping you to develop greater self-confidence, better communication and clarity;
  • Expanding your social circle and developing a greater sense of adventure;
  • Building a more positive and stronger sense of identity, enabling you to be comfortable with the person you are. Thus, increasing levels of self-esteem and confidence in what you do.
  • Helping you to develop your signature style which helps you feel more confidence. Fashion and style are often interchangeable terms; fashion is related to current trend in popular clothing whereas style is personal to you and gives you confidence. We live in an increasingly image conscious world with developments on social media leading to more pressure to look a certain way, for both men and women. What we see (i.e. image) is an integral part of what you project to other people and the outside world. How you feel about yourself inside, your self-esteem and your identity needs to match your image and style, thus the real you.

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative, trust-based and confidential relationship between a client, who would like to:

  • Optimise their performance
  • Achieve certain goals in either personal or professional life
  • Gain clarity of their issue and develop a clear course of action

And I, as a Qualified Life Coach, understand that:

  • Certain tools can enable and facilitate awareness and thus a direction
  • Change is possible and can hold the client accountable for his/her actions
  • Insight and clarity can be offered to the current situation and the desired outcome
  • The client holds the answers to their own questions

Ultimately, coaching is an ongoing process that offers a foundation for transformation to unravel one's potential.

Style coaching

We all have some doubt and insecurities regarding our bodies and our self-image. What if you could overcome these? What would your life look like? It is something so many people struggle with and is normally a symptom of low self-esteem. From my experience, body confidence comes when we stop comparing our bodies to other people’s and start focusing on caring for the body we have. Coaching can help you identify unhelpful thought patterns in order for you to achieve your style and health goals.

With style coaching, I also support you to achieve the style right for you by discussing the image or brand you would like to portray and, more importantly, seeing what works best for you. We will work together to determine the right colour schemes, fabrics and types of clothing based on your body shape, colouring, personality and personal objectives so that you feel good about yourself in everyday life.

People understand that in order to live a successful and fulfilled life that the support of a coach for feedback and guidance can be an extremely useful strategy.

Happiness consultations

Positive psychology coaching uses the science of well-being and research-based assessments and interventions to bring about greater satisfaction, fulfilment and performance in life. Traditionally, psychiatry and psychology have studied, researched and helped those with distress. Happiness consultations are geared to those who feel a lack in meaning and fulfilment in their day-to-day life, but who are not clinically depressed or anxious. You may feel that you are chasing happiness with certain goals, such as “when I get that job promotion then I’ll be happy.” Happiness consultations will look at your values and review different aspects of your life to enable you to feel a sense of contentment.

Difference Between Coaching and Therapy

Coaching and therapy are different. Therapy is for people experiencing a psychological issue that impacts their ability to function in a healthy and adaptive manner. The focus is on reducing the intensity and managing their emotions through cognitive, behavioural or analytic interventions.

Coaching’s main focus, in contrast, is on achieving goals and desired outcomes, drawing on the client’s strengths and their potential to enhance fulfilment in both their personal and professional lives. It is very much grounded in the here and now.

Both processes seek a type of change by developing awareness; therapy enables understanding developmentally (through the past) but coaching shines the light into unseen possibilities and strengths thus linking awareness to action.

Therefore, coaching is for those wanting change in an area of their life that can lead to achieving goals and a greater sense of fulfilment.
